Adalyn has grown up so much since her newborn session this past fall. She has such a sweet personality and has the biggest smile you’ve ever seen! If you know either of her parents, you know that this trait runs strong in both of these families. I absolutely LOVED her poofy little tutu!! Enjoy the preview!
Charlie and his family have been good friends of ours for many years. We were absolutely thrilled when he found someone as sweet as Melony! They are a great match for each other and I am very much looking forward to their wedding in June. Here’s a short preview of their session last week.
Hey! I must sincerely apologize for my lack of blog posting for the past few months. As some of you may have already known, my husband and I just recently got back from a nearly six week mission trip to Mozambique, Africa. It was INCREDIBLE! You can check out some photos from the trip here.
Anyways, as you can imagine, I haven’t had much of an opportunity to post anything new to the site in a while. But I have made some exciting new changes to my studio space in Holland, and am very excited how it turned out! Before our trip, I used my adorable nieces and nephews as test subjects. 🙂 I also photographed a little boy, Hayes, who my sister-in-law babysits- he and his mom tagged along for Jack and Emma’s session. Then a week before we left, I photographed a sweet little newborn, Stella.
And as much as I love my new studio space (I hope you do too!), I was thrilled to find the weather nice enough when we got home to start doing outdoor sessions again! Over spring break, I took little mister Easton’s one year photos. He has grown up so much since the last time I saw him for his 6 month photos.
So we are back adjusting to life here and I am attempting to get back into the swing of things with running a business. So here are a few previews, or ‘late-views’ rather- of some of the sessions I did in the recent past. Enjoy! And if you like what you see with the studio photos, I’d LOVE to photograph you or your loved one in it! 🙂 The additional $20 studio fee goes directly to the ministry we served with in Africa (it also happens to be the building where the studio is located). So you can feel good knowing that, while you are getting your photos taken,  you are enabling illiterate people all over the world to receive a translated Bible in a form they can actually use-audio. Read more about Audio Scripture Ministries and the work they do here.

Happy birthday Josalyn! This little sweetie is turning 1! She certainly did not have the reponse we were thinking she was going to have with her chocolate covered birthday cake (she just kind of stared at it and would timidly put her hand in it every so often…I don’t think she was quite so sure about the chocolate frosting), but she definitely succeeded in making a mess of herself with it anyways! Oh, and her daddy is a notorious Michigan football fan, so we had to get Josalyn in on some of the sports action! Enjoy the preview!!
This little guy is Bret. His big sister and brother were so excited to show him to me when I got to their house and they were just gushing over him. So cute! I am always taken back at how little newborns actually are, and Bret certainly is a tiny little guy. Babies are so fun to hold and snuggle when they’re so tiny! Bret made this session super easy for me- he has such a mellow personality and would let me put him in any position without really raising a fuss. Love it! Enjoy the preview!
Jimi and Stephanie were married a few weekends ago in Muskegon. Apparently this wedding was a long time coming…they have been together 8 years!! The ceremony and reception took place in the beautiful, historic, and romantic Muskegon Women’s Club. All of the details- from Stephanie’s dress to the cake- fit perfectly into the historical elegance of the venue. Absolutely gorgeous!! After the ceremony, we took a chilly trolley ride over to the Hackley House for some more photos. It was a beautiful wedding and Jimi and Stephanie were great to work with! Thanks for a great day! Enjoy the preview!

This precious little girl is Adalyn, the brand new baby of Brain and Alisha. My husband and I have been blessed to get to know them better over the past few years, as we go to the same chuch and also attend small group together. I have no doubt that they are not only going to be AMAZING parents, but super fun ones, too! I mean, come on, they already have her hair in a mohawk! 🙂 So cute! Enjoy the preview!!
I had the wonderful privilege of getting to know the Robins family on this session, which happened to be their first family photo session EVER! They were so great to work with and we all had a great time parading through all of downtown GR last week. Thanks for a fun morning! Enjoy the preview!
It has been quite some time since I photographed the Lubbers family. The last time I did, I was just starting my business and it was just Robb and Katie (and their dog). Now they have 2 beautiful boys! And these boys are some of the smiliest little boys EVER! I just love the way Sadler already looks up to his big brother, Grayden. Grayden has quite the skill getting him to smile. So cute. 🙂
